Could you list some reasons why Hitler was a bad leader and why nelson Mandela was a good leader?

For an oral presentation I’m going to compare Hitler and Nelson Mandela and try to convince the listeners that Nelson Mandela had good and effective leadership qualities and Hitler had some effective leadership qualities but not enough which made him an ineffective leader.

  1. Well,we start here with a faulty premise, since Mandela was not a great leader. He was a good figurehead to use as a symbol in order to end the Apartheid system in S. Africa, but nothing more. However since the end of Apartheid,S Africa has been on essentially a slow downward spiral. And Nelson Mandela’s ideals and ideas, which have been continued by subsequent Presidents of S Africa, are undoubtedly part of the reason for that downward slide. As it is now,S. Africa has the 10th highest Crime rate of any Country on Earth, they have the 2nd highest murder rate on Earth, and the highest Assault and Rape rates on the Planet. About 1/3 of their population has AIDS,and they seem to be barely effective at best in dealing with any of these problems. At the moment S. Africa still is holding together, but that’s simply because many of their problems haven’t come to the worst case yet.But if they continue on their current path,I would look for a near implosion of the country in the next two decades.

And all of that was set in motion at least in part,by Nelson Mandela and his Political Party which continues trying nothing but failed ideas over and over again.

  2. Could you list some significant differences?
    No, wait, . .
It looks like your question already included them.

  3. Well, they were both able to marshal their causes. However, I think Hitler’s abused his power and will forever be remembered as a mass murdering, insane freak.

  4. hitler
    bad
    killed 9,000,000 people.

  5. Why would you compare two people whose morals, path to power and policy were so completely opposite?
It’s like comparing filet mignon to horse manure.

  6. Hitler caused millions to be murdered. Mandela did not.

    Do your own homework.

  7. Hitler was trying to dominate the world and Mandela was trying to stop the world from being dominated (2 diff. occasions of course, lol)
Hitler wanted a pure white society, Mandela wanted equality and an end to the apartheid
    The two are like Yen/Yang
Mandela used Reality to get the job done, and Hitler used the "what if" scenario to scare the world into following him. He played on peoples fears.
The problem with using fear is that eventually people are going to have no choice but to face their fears when being pushed. They then realize they had nothing to fear in the first place and push back.
JFK: The only thing we have to fear is fear itself

Mandela used the reality to further the agenda, and people were more scared of the oppressors, there for didn’t revolt the way they should have

Mandela lived the life he spoke of, and Hitler was the total opposite of what he spoke.
In the end Mandela’s visions were made a reality and Hitler killed himself.
