What is the highest number of children born to one woman with no multiple births?

My grandmother gave birth to 24 children with no multiple births also this was done with one partner. She was born on January 1, 1928. She is still alive today and lives in Georgetown, Guyana. She is presently blind. My mother was the 13th child.
All the children were healthy and lived long. A few of them died as they were all old.

    Yeah but how many of them lived? Still birth and miscarraige was very common in those days.

    24 children? was she a millionaire? a house with like at least 10 bedrooms??? how can you afford 24 kids?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

    OMG

    This would make a great novel story…

    My great grandma had 15 no multiple births and same partner. it would be interesting to know the highest # ever. if you find out let me know!

    that is just awesome! go grandma!

    you should look in to that. Maybe she can get in to a book for it. Or have something done for her. someone write a book about her or a show. that would rock

    sounds like a great family each kid is a gift and wonderful in life.

    thats a norm for Guyanese, and people from the west indies. back in the day loads and loads of kids. and the father was working and mom would be at home and still could be able to provide for them all even if times were hard.
